The Resolution Says...

Whereas, our thinking is not to be conformed to this world's way of thinking, but our minds are to be renewed and sanctified by the truth of God's Word (Rom. 12:2; Jn. 17:17), and

Analysis

Romans chapter 12 begins,

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Everyday, Christian parents are offering their children as living sacrifices. It's a choice. Even if you choose not to make the choices, you've still decided by default.

  • Either youre sacrificing your children to the State, for indoctrination in a host of ungodly notions.
  • Or youre sacrificing your children to the One True God, for instruction and training in righteousness, and eternal life.

Turning your children over to the State for training and discipline could be like sacrificing their very souls—akin to offering your children to Moloch.

The government schools have always had an ideal: conformity. It is the intention of the school unions and text-book writers to...

  • Bring your child into conformity with prevailing mores of society.
  • Lead your child away from superstitions (their word for the Christian faith and Creation science).
  • Build their child's faith in government action to solve any social problem, because individuals, churches, and charities cannot be trusted to meet the need.
  • Convince your child that industry is the purview of robber barons, not hard-working, innovative people who are serving God and their customers.
  • Compel your child to be a good consumer, even at the expense of Godly stewardship.
  • Lead them to believe in the innate goodness of humanity.
  • Teach them sexual mores are for fogys and kill-joys.
  • Promote pantheism and environmentalism, rather than Biblical dominion (Genesis 1:28-30).

This is only a partial list. Clearly, this list is not about renewing your child's mind unto Godliness. The agenda of the schools is to conform your child to the world—to undue what you do at home and in church.

The duty to someone who knows the truth is to follow that truth, or sin (James 4:17). Here's a fact. God is not welcome in public schools. How will you handle the truth?
