The Resolution Says...

Whereas... in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3), any instruction that does not teach the centrality of Jesus Christ for understanding all of life cannot properly be said to impart wisdom or knowledge to children, and

Analysis

"Christ Himself... in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

If you've been a born-again Christian, seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord for more than a couple of years, you know that our faith is full of mysteries. You can spend your entire life studying and meditating on scripture, and still fail to plumb its depths.

Perhaps you believe that curriculum can still be successful if it doesn't incorporate Jesus Christ.

We wholeheartedly believe the Bible says otherwise. In fact, here's the Biblical formula for success...

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success." (See also, Psalm 1:2-3)

When a treasure is hidden, finding it requires diligent investigation. Christ is hidden from the wisdom of the world—the world's wisdom is foolishness in God's sight (1 Corinthians 3:19).

And so we ask, what does the public school have to offer your child?

  • The map and the keys to locate and open the treasure of Christ?

OR

  • The wisdom of the world, which God Himself has declared foolish?

Because time is short, and our lives are but a moment, investing time in the study of the One True God is the most important thing we can do to increase the odds our children will be successful.

And Colossians 2:3 is telling us that the odds are against our children embracing a Godly lifestyle and worldview on accident—they will have to seek it, even be led by excellent guides who will help them find the treasure of Christ.
